Residency Programs
San Ysidro Health operates an Internal Medicine Residency Program and acts as a participating site for the Scripps Family Medicine Residency Program, in partnership with Scripps Health. These programs help expand access to care for communities in need, while providing hands-on experience, exposure to unique programs, and opportunities for research and quality improvement projects for the next generation of physicians.

Originally established along the US/Mexico border in 1969 by a group of mothers in search of medical services for their children, San Ysidro Health now provides innovative care through a vast and integrated network of 50 sites across San Diego County.
Our growing organization of over 3,000 highly trained and caring professionals (77% of which are women) are committed to producing the best possible results for the 160,000+ patients we serve, encompassing low-income, uninsured, and migrant communities. Our providers deliver care in state-of-the-art facilities and utilize industry-best equipment and systems (including Epic). All of this and more is at your fingertips when you join our team.
