Breastfeeding Support Services

Breastfeeding Support Services, offered by Scripps Health in collaboration with San Ysidro Health, provide free, hands-on assistance for new breastfeeding parents. Designed to support anyone needing guidance with feeding their newborn, these walk-in sessions offer a welcoming space to ask questions, learn effective techniques, and build confidence during the early stages of parenthood.

Program Services & Features

Hands-On Breastfeeding Guidance
Learn practical techniques—including positioning, proper latching, and ways to support healthy milk production.


Drop-In Weekly Support Sessions
No appointment needed. Join any session held every Monday from 1–2 PM at Chula Vista Medical Plaza, 2nd Floor (Atlantic Ocean Room).

Support for All Breastfeeding Parents
Open to any parent with a newborn who may need coaching, reassurance, or troubleshooting support.

Expert Assistance
Receive help from trained breastfeeding support specialists in a comfortable, supportive environment. Appointments with a medical provider are also available at Chula Vista Medical Plaza (CVMP) and  Maternal and Child Health Center (MCHC).
