Opinion: Seniors are suffering. Lawmakers must defend their funding.

Meal delivery services for homebound seniors provide a lifeline to the older adults they serve, who are often isolated and unable to shop or cook for themselves. Critically, they also save taxpayers and our local governments money by keeping vulnerable seniors out of emergency rooms, preventing hospitalizations and reducing health care costs long-term.
