SYH Proud Logo

*Queer acts as an umbrella term for people who identify with a range of sexual orientations that are not “straight.” (For example - gay, bisexual, lesbian, pansexual, etc.) We acknowledge that some members of the community may identify more strongly with a specific sexual orientation under this umbrella term than the umbrella term itself, especially because of the history the word has as a slur.

What We Do

SYH Proud has many long-term goals that aim to make San Ysidro Health a more affirming environment for LGBTQ+ patients and staff members. We also host lunch and learns, participate in San Diego Pride month activities, and get to know each other through SYH Proud social events.
