San Ysidro Health’s LGBTQ services are available for people to access resources and find answers to their questions, as well as spaces to talk openly and honestly about relationships, sex and HIV.
Specialty care in sexual health. Services offered include LGBTQ-focused primary care, hormone therapy, birth control options, transgender health services, HIV counseling and testing, as well as HIV prevention medication known as PrEP, short for pre-exposure prophylaxis as well as PEP, short for post-exposure prophylaxis.
Resources and programs to help you stay informed, stay safe and stay proactive in the prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases. We are also able to provide PrEP Navigation assistance to help cover the most or all of the costs associated with PrEP and PEP.
Tools, info, and resources for individual support or about issues within the larger LGBTQ community.
How much are services?
We accept Medi-Cal, Medicare, many private insurances, and for those that are uninsured, we offer a sliding scale fee discount program to ensure that everyone is able to receive affordable medical coverage.
Regardless of your ability to pay, San Ysidro Health will work hard to meet your medical needs.
Do I have to make an appointment?
The GeMS Health Clinic is open every Thursday from 12:00pm-7:30pm. Appointment slots are available by appointment or on a walk-in basis. They can be done in person before 7:00pm or via a telephone visit!
